UHM History
Introduction Underground House Movement
After a lot of visits to Parkzicht (Rotterdam) the idea was born to organise party's in the south of Holland. Because in the south of Holland this kind of atmosphere which we found in Parkzicht was nowhere else to be found.
May 1992, the first illegal party for 300 people at an old castle became reality. DJ Raverunner played his first set at the party: 8 hours non-stop !!! At the same time The Peppermill already started to play house/hardcore at the friday nights.
In 1993 UHM organised a big party in Belgium/Opgrimbie. Result: sold out (1500 party-people). After this event it was growing fast. Everybody still remembers the kicking underground party's at the B-52 (Hulsberg 1994/1996) with artists like; DJ Rob, Distortion, Petrov, Paul Elstak, Rotterdam Terror Corps, Mc Raw, Mc Hughie Babe, Mc Joe, Raverunner, Chuck, Panic, Lars, Stanton, Dwarf records live, Mc Forze and lots more...
In 1996 the well known concept Raving Nightmare was born. The first RN party in The Peppermill was a fact. Many kicking RN party's at the Peppermill followed but also they organised a tour through Holland. Besides the RN concept UHM was also the creator of Ravemission, Hardcore Revolution and Back to Basics.
Then they found a new amazing location in Maastricht... Everybody knows the facts already: a booooooming basssssss soundsystem with no soundlimits and the best atmosphere!In 2004 this amazing location closed their doors.....a new episode was born: events in locations like Mecc- Maastricht and Rijnhal - Arnhem were very succesfull. At the same time UHM started their activities in Germany. The mega disco Tarm Centre in Frechen (Köln) became a residenty for the Raving Nightmare german editions......but there's more to come!!!
We know for sure REAL HARDCORE is still alive. You know for sure REAL HARDCORE is still alive. So be ware for the motherf###ers who will try to imitate and remember: our hardcore mission will go on, for now and in the future!
